About Viculii

Our Story

Dear Visitor,

Our dreams for our children.

I believe that we always want what is best for our children. We want to give them everything that we can, so that our babies can live their best lives, right from the start.

We hope that if we believe in their potential, our children will develop the confidence to believe in themselves and achieve great things. And if we believe in our children from their very first days, perhaps our dreams for their happiness will come true.

Our dreams for ourselves.

My dream for myself began in the days of my childhood.

Long ago, as a little girl, I dreamt about the United Kingdom and everything for which it stood. I was fascinated by the English language, British Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses, UK history and the scenic beauty of its island landscape. I surrounded myself with all the magazines and books that I could find, and I read them all. I dreamt that one day, I would live and belong here.

My family are from a small European village; my parents worked and we lived with my grandparents. We had a happy, yet simple life. My father lived his life dreaming his dreams about building his own house and owning his own bakery. However, to our sadness, the universe had a different plan for him. His life was cut short in a car accident whilst he was still young – he was never to see his dreams come true.

I was 12 and my sister was just 8 years-old when he passed away. My mother, strong despite her grief, raised us to be independent, brave women, full of self-belief. She brought us up to follow our dreams and encouraged my sister and I to enjoy every moment in life with gratitude.

In 2007, at the age of 20, I arrived in the UK. A few years later, I started my own little family. I married a wonderful husband and now have 2 amazing girls of my own.

My dream for our business.

Since then, through happy times, challenging times, exciting and tough times, I’ve carefully nurtured another dream. With over 12 years of experience in creating nursery furniture, my family has built a business we hope will bring joy to many.

We created the Viculii brand around that business and we are proud to present it to you.

Viculii is our own family business, providing elegant baby furniture of the highest quality to parents all over the UK.

We have a mission to bring joy to as many people as possible and we are on a journey to make this happen.

We are a friendly and positive family with big dreams.
We like to bring smiles and joy to people around us.
We would appreciate your support on our journey.

Let’s meet. Perhaps we can help you with your dreams.

Sending love,
Monika

Our Approach to Sustainability

Caring for little ones naturally makes us think carefully about the world they are growing up in.

We’re a small, family-run business, and while we don’t claim to be perfect, we do our best to make thoughtful, responsible choices in how our products are designed and made.

Where possible, our furniture is made from solid wood, chosen for its strength, longevity, and the fact that it can be reused over time. We believe that well-made products that last can help reduce unnecessary waste.

Our mattresses are made using materials such as ECO fibre, cotton fabric, polyester, aloe vera fabric, coco coir, pocket sprung, and bamboo fabric, based on specifications. Some of our textile products, including selected baby wraps, are made using recycled polyester derived from recycled materials. Our changing mats are also made from fabrics tested to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, ensuring they meet strict safety requirements for babies.

We work with manufacturers in Europe, where safety, labour, and environmental standards are well regulated, and we aim to encourage efficient production methods that avoid unnecessary materials and excessive hardware where possible.

As our business grows and standards continue to evolve, we remain committed to being open and transparent about our materials and practices, and to improving where we can — always with children, families, and the future in mind.
